Solarium is expected to debut its new flooring product in Victoria next year.
The product, the Solarium Floor, is designed to be used as an alternative to standard carpeting and can be installed in homes with limited space and energy usage.
Solarium says it will be rolling out the flooring in Melbourne in 2018.
Its Australian counterpart, Silver Solarium, has announced the same thing in Perth and Canberra.
Solarism CEO Mike Masefield said the company would start rolling out Solarium floor tiles in Melbourne, Perth and Sydney by the end of 2018.
“We’re very excited to launch our new Solarium products to Victoria and look forward to introducing our new solarium product to the local community, which is a great start,” Mr Masefields said.
“Solarism’s mission is to enable Australians to have clean, renewable, energy for the rest of their lives.”
This is a truly exciting and unique opportunity to offer our customers a truly sustainable flooring option.
“Solarism was founded in 2003 in the Northern Territory.
It is the first Australian company to offer flooring made from solar energy and has been awarded more than $2 million in Australian Government grants since its founding.
Mr Masefeather said the Australian Solarism team was keen to partner with Solarism to introduce the floor, because it is a natural fit for the company’s brand.”
The Solarism floor is a unique product that can be used in a range of applications including homes, office buildings and residential, with the ability to reduce energy usage by as much as 80 per cent,” Mr Sallis said.
Mr Salles said Solarism was also looking at the Australian Government’s renewable energy target and energy efficiency standards to improve its flooring products.”
Our focus has always been on being a part of the industry, rather than looking at what’s new or different.
Mr Sillis said Solarium was investing heavily in its Melbourne factory to produce the Solarism Solarium Roaster, which will be the companys flagship product.””
We knew we needed to invest in the energy efficiency of our products and the floor is the perfect way to do that.”
Mr Sillis said Solarium was investing heavily in its Melbourne factory to produce the Solarism Solarium Roaster, which will be the companys flagship product.
“It’s the perfect solution for those who want to live in a more energy efficient home, where solar energy can play a major role in reducing the amount of energy they use,” he said.
Solaria is also looking to partner up with solar power suppliers.
The company is also working with a small solar power project in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.
The solar power installation is set to be completed by 2020, with Solaria hoping to open a full-scale facility by the same year.
